Faith without Works
Some people say, "Faith is all I need". And others say, "Good Works won't
get you to Heaven." These people try to justify their "doing nothing" for
the Lord, or their brethren.
There is a doctrine of Faith alone that is within many
churches today. This doctrine teaches the people to "do nothing" or "little
of nothing" for the Lord.
This doctrine of Faith alone is leading many people astray from the true Path, which Jesus
taught.
Jesus told the parable of the good samaritan, a story about helping a total stranger, and
then Jesus said, "Go and do likewise."
The Pharisees had the doctrine of faith alone. Jesus said ,"beware of the doctrine of
the Pharisees."
The Pharisees did everything to be seen and heard by men- in order to be admired by men.
But they didn't
do good to others or help others, they helped themselves. In the parable of the good
samartian, they passed by on the other side of the road, to avoid
doing anything to help.
Many in the church today are just as spiritual dead as the pharisees of old. They have
plenty of talk, but no action, plenty of faith (so they say) but no works.
Having faith alone, is like the man who showed up at the wedding supper of the Lamb, but
had no wedding garment.
The Bible tells us "Their works do follow them".
Righteousness is not talk, but action!
Some people "Talk but don't do" - others "Do but don't talk". Which do
you think is justified in God's sight?
James 2:26 - For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead
also.
James 1:22 - But be doers of The WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Yours Truly
