Believe in God's
Amazing Love
The 15th chapter of Luke tells us the story
of the Prodigal son.
We are like the Son who took a journey into
a far country.
Do you suppose His Father saw faults in
him, when he returned?
Did the Father clothe his wandering son
with the best Robe, because he saw dirty clothes on him, or did the Father just Love him,
with incredible Compassion and mercy?
That Robe represents The Robe of Righteousness, spoken of in Isaiah 61:10, Psalm 132:9, and is
also the Fine Linen in Rev. 19:8.
The Father gave it to his son freely as a
gift, because he Loved him. Did the son understand his Father's great Love?
The Father ignored the faults in the son,
and like our Father in Heaven cast all of his sins into the deepest sea, never to be
remembered again. How many times would the Father forgive His son? Only once?
Jesus was asked by Peter. Matthew 18:21 -
'Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?
Jesus said, Matthew 18:22 - "I say not
unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."
So you see, God, Our Father, who Is The
Lord Jesus, forgives us untold numbers of times- not dwelling on our sin or trespasses,
but Loving us Infinitely.
Do you suppose a chunk of coal, as it is
being squeezed under pressure into to a diamond, says, I am ugly, and no good? Does it
say, I am dirty? We are being changed into God's jewels, and when we are crystal clear,
like a diamond, HIS Glorious light can shine through us. A diamond merely reflects the
light, and without the light a diamond has no beauty. It is the same with us, we reflect
Jesus through us, without Jesus (who
is the Light of Love) we have no beauty.
If you had a little child, and they were
playing and got dirty, how would you feel? How many times would you wash the child? Would
you still Love the child even if it had dirt on it? Of course you would! It is
the same with God. He washes us and Loves us constantly.
The answer is this: We cannot be Righteous
of ourselves, FOR ONLY GOD IS
RIGHTEOUS. But He shares His Righteousness with us, as a free
Gift, through faith. Ro 3:22, Ro
1:17, Php 3:9, He 11:7, Ga 5:5.
"You will not be Judged, If you Judge
not", regardless if you are a Teacher, Preacher, Prophet, or any other Worker for the
Lord. Only those who JUDGE others, will be Judged with the same Judgement they Judge
others with.
Let me repeat this, so it will be clear: Only those who JUDGE others, will be Judged.
Matthew 7:1 - "JUDGE NOT, THAT YE BE
NOT JUDGED"
Luke 6:37 - "JUDGE NOT, AND YE SHALL
NOT BE JUDGED; CONDEMN NOT, AND YE SHALL NOT BE CONDEMNED: FORGIVE, AND YE SHALL BE
FORGIVEN"
A mother was once told, "Your son is
in Jail and has broken the law, and done many bad things." She replied, "I Don't
care what he has done, He is still my son".
The Father of the Prodigal son, felt the
same way. He did not care what his son had done in that far off country, He was still His
Son! God doesn't care what you have done, HE JUST LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO KNOW THIS AND TO LOVE HIM.
So let us not dwell on the faults that we
see in ourselves or others. The devil wants us to see ourselves as evil, and see our
brethren as evil. The devil wants us to dwell on sin and find fault. The devil is the
accuser.
Jesus died to save us from sin and
eternal guilt. Therefore let us believe in God's Infinite Love, as shown to
us in JESUS. And condemn no one, not even ourselves. Believe in God's forgiveness.
The prodigal son had to believe that his
Father forgave him and Loved him, so do we.
The conclusion is this: Seek to understand the magnitude of God's Incredible, Amazing, Wonderful, Infinite, Eternal,
Glorious LOVE. And keep your focus on HIS LOVE.
Keep your focus on HIS LOVE!
Let us not think about ourselves or others,
as if we were separated from God; For without HIM we are nothing.
HE IS OUR EVERYTHING.
Note: To be lukewarm means:
to Love only a little.
