| Bearing Fruit Remember what happened to the fig tree that only had
branches and leaves, but no fruit, how it dried up immediately at the Word of the Lord?
A tree with many branches and leaves, but no
fruit, is like a man with lots of worldly knowledges- well educated- but without the
fruits of goodness, and love.
Don't spend your life in endless pursuit of
knowledges, doctrines, concepts, or education. You already know what God wants you to do.
He wants you to bear the fruits of the Spirit. To be like the good samaritan. To love
others, and be kind, giving, forgiving, compassionate, unselfish, praying, and helping
others.
So start doing good. Look around you at all
the problems and needs, and start doing your part to help.
But let Jesus work through you, for by
ourselves, we can bear no fruit, we must be attached to the vine (Jesus). Jesus is
actually bearing fruit through us, we are just willing vessels.
The time to do good is now!
Don't think that endless education is your
salvation or happiness. The Pharisees were educated.
Even the uneducated are saved and happy, as
they obey the Lord.
